Working with Aliases

On the Aliases window, to search for a specific definition or limit the aliases displayed to specific selection, see Search for an Alias.

 

Disable/Enable Alias Definitions

To disable/enable a single alias definition:

  1. Select Destinations in the main menu and select Aliases from the drop-down menu options. The Aliases window opens.

  2. Left click on the appropriate row and select Disable or Enable from the pop-up menu.

To disable/enable multiple alias definitions:

  1. From the Aliases window, select the check box to the left of each alias definitions you wan to disable/enable.

  2. To take a single action for all definitions, click the select all icon in the title section above the columns. Choose Select all from the menu options.

  3. Left click on one of the rows and select Disable or Enable from the pop-up menu.

 

Delete Alias Definitions or Comment Blocks

NOTE: To see comment blocks the Show comments box must be checked.

To delete a single definition or comment block:

  1. Select Destinations in the main menu and select Aliases from the drop-down menu options. The Aliases window opens.

  2. Left click on the appropriate row and select Delete from the pop-up menu.

  3. Click Yes on the Confirmation window.

To delete multiple alias definitions or comment blocks:

  1. From the Aliases window, select the check box to the left of each alias definition or comment block you want to delete.

  2. To take a single action for all definitions and comment blocks, click the select all icon in the title section above the columns. Choose Select all from the menu options.

  3. Left click on one of the rows and select Delete from the pop-up menu.

  4. Click Yes on the Confirmation window.

 

Submit a Test Document to an Alias

To submit a test document to an alias:

  1. Select Destinations in the main menu and select Aliases from the drop-down menu options. The Aliases window opens.

  2. Left click on the appropriate row for the alias and select Submit test document from the pop-up menu. The Submit Test Page window opens.

  3. Enter the appropriate information in the Document title, Lines per page, and Number of pages fields.

  4. Click OK. The test document will be sent to the printer.
