Bulk Change Document Ownership

An administrative user can find all documents that have a specific owner and change it to a new owner. Optionally the group can be given a new value.  For more information see Understanding Document Ownership and Permissions.

 

To bulk change document ownership:

  1. Click Admin in the main menu and select Change ownership from the menu options. The Change Ownership of Documents window opens.

  2. In the Owner field enter the name of the user whose documents you want to change. All documents for that user will be changed.

  3. Enter the name of the new user in the New owner field. The documents will be updated with this new owner.

  4. If you want to update the group, click to place a check in the Update group field.

  5. If the Update group box is checked, enter the group name in the New group field.

  6. Click OK.
