Before you set up access control in EasySpooler , you may find some advanced planning useful. It should also save you time in the long run. To prepare for set up, complete the items in the following checklist:
Acquaint yourself with the security options available on the Admin menu for access control by reviewing the topic Getting Started.
Look at the capabilities assigned to the three predefined roles: SeniorAdmin, Admin, and User. Decide whether you want to change any of the capabilities assigned to these roles.
Consider your users and decide whether you want to create any additional roles for them.
Roles are helpful because they group capabilities together. If you plan to define user and/or group permissions you can assign capabilities via a role.
Decide which users will be OK with the default permissions and which users need individual permission definitions.
Decide whether you want to assign permissions to any groups.
Decide whether you want to create any destination lists.
Destination lists are helpful because they group destinations together. If you plan to define user and/or group permissions you can assign access to destinations via a destination list.
You can set up access control in almost any sequence, but doing set up in a sequence that fits your planning will save you time and effort.
Remember, you may want to start using EasySpooler with the default access settings. These may be adequate for your needs. Or you may want to add more access controls after you have used EasySpooler for a while.
See the Access Control Example for more information.
