Remote mapping gives you two options for handling the user, group, and document permissions for documents that come from a remote host that is allowed, but not trusted:
You can enter a new user, group, or document permissions to replace those of the incoming document.
Or you can indicate that you want to accept the user, group, or document permissions of the incoming document.a

NOTE: If you do not define the Remote user map and a spool file comes from an untrusted system, the EasySpooler administrator becomes the owner and the document is put on hold.
Click Admin on the main menu.
Click the Security option then select Remote mapping from the second drop-down list. The Change Remote Mapping window opens.
Take the appropriate action:

click the radio button in front of Map to, in the Map to Group section, and enter the name of the group in the field. |
accept the document permissions associated with each incoming document |
click the radio button in front of Use the permissions sent by the remote untrusted host. |
override the document permissions |
click the radio button in front of Map to the configured lpsnetdocperms. For more information see, Override Document Permissions. |
set document permissions |
click the radio button in front of Use specific permissions. Click the appropriate boxes under View and Modify. |
Click OK.
To delete a remote map:
Click Admin on the main menu.
Click the Security option then select Remote mapping from the second drop-down list. The Change Remote Mapping window opens.
Clear all entries.
Click OK.
a. If the incoming document is from an lpr printer, EasySpooler will not find a group or document permissions because the lpr control record does not provide a group or document permissions.
