Remote permissions provide access control for a request coming from a user on an untrusted system. For more information on trusted and untrusted systems, see Network Files. When first installed, EasySpooler gives remote users the following default permissions:
SubmitDoc, ListDoc, ListDest
Access to all destinations
To add a remote permissions definition:
Click Admin on the main menu.
Click the Security option then click the Remote permissions option from the second drop-down list. The Change Permissions window opens..
If you want to add remote permissions, click +Add permissions.
The Permissions Definition window opens. See Using the Permissions Definition Window for information about the fields on the Permissions Definition window. When you are finished adding entries on the Permissions Definition window, the Add Permissions window will be displayed your selections.
NOTE: On the Permissions Definition window when adding a remote permissions, you cannot grant any roles. In addition, the capabilities from which you can select are limited to three: SubmitDoc, ListDoc, ListDest.
On
the Change Permissions window, to reorder the destination entries,
use the sequencing icon to the left of the entries
to drag them into the desired order to get the results you want.
Tips:
If you have denied access to a destination, destination range or destination list, an exclamation point (!) appears to the left of entry. You will want denial access to be listed first because EasySpooler looks for the first match. If the denial access entry were listed after an entry that gave access to @All destinations the denial would be ignored.
If you want to give access to only a specific destination, the single destination entry should be listed first. A second entry showing !None would be listed after the entry for access to a specific destination.
