Track: Add or Change a Destination

For more information on using destinations in track, see Track Destinations.

To add or change track destination settings:

  1. Change the settings as needed. Use the table below for guidance.

NOTE: If a parameter is set to defer, EasySpooler uses the value of the corresponding parameter in the user and/or the department settings. If a parameter is set to default, EasySpooler uses the value of the corresponding parameter in the system defaults.

  1. Click OK.

NOTE: The field related to email notifications, appears at the end of the list of parameters. See Track: Email Notifications for more information on setting these parameters.

Destination

 

Click the select icon . The Select a Destination window opens. On the Select A Destination window click on the Name of the destination. See the help button on that window to limit the number of destinations displayed.  

Description

 

Enter a description for the destination.  

Department

 

If you want to track department usage and/or quotas for the department with which a destination is associated, type the name of that department in the Department field. You must also set the Department source parameter in the system settings to Destination, User then dest, or Dest then user. For more information, see Edit System Settings.

Subject to quotas

defer

Determines whether or not to charge users are charged based on page usage for this destination. Select yes, no, defer or default.   

NOTE: If a parameter is set to defer, EasySpooler uses the value of the corresponding parameter in the user and/or the department settings. If a parameter is set to default, EasySpooler uses the value of the corresponding parameter in the system defaults.

Spool over quota

defer

Determines how documents are handled at spool time when the user is over quota.

Select defer, default or one of the following values:

  • accept--accept all documents and put in a ready state (or on hold if submitted on hold)

  • hold--accept all documents and put on hold

  • delete--accept all documents and put in a delete pending state in the number of seconds specified in the parameter Over quota save time

  • reject--do not allow the document to be spooled

  • defer--use the corresponding parameter in the user and/or the department setting

  • default--accept the setting that is defined for the Track System Defaults

 

Print over quota

defer

Determines how documents are handled at print time when the user is over quota.

Select defer, default or one of the following values:

  • accept--print the document

  • hold--put the document on hold

  • delete--put the document in a delete pending state in the number of seconds specified in the parameter Over quota save time

  • reject--delete the document immediately

  • defer--uses the corresponding parameter in the user and/or the department setting

  • default--accept the setting that is defined for the Track System Defaults

Spool status display

defer

Determines when to display spooling over quota messages as documents are being spooled. The choices are always, over,never, defer, or default.

Over quota save time

defer

The number of seconds to retain a document in the delete pending state when a document is spooled/printed over quota. If set to defer, the value from the user or department setting is used. If set to default, the number of minutes entered in the Over quota save time parameter in the Track System Defaults is used.

Points per page

default

The number of quota points allocated to this department at the beginning of each allotment period. If set to default, the number of points entered in the Department Allotment parameter in the Track System Defaults is used.

Email notification

defer

Determines the circumstances under which email notifications will be sent. The choices are never, over, daily,event, defer, or default.
