Track: Change System Defaults

To edit the system defaults:

  1. Change the settings as needed. Use the table below for guidance.

  2. Click OK.

NOTE: The fields related to email notifications appear at the end of the list of parameters. See Track: Email Notifications for more information on setting these parameters.

Subject to quotas

Determines whether or not user, departments, and destinations are subject to quotas by default. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)

Spool over quota

accept

Determines how documents are handled at spool time when the user or department is over quota. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)

Select one of the following values:

  • accept—accept all documents and put in a ready state (or on hold if submitted on hold)

  • hold—accept all documents and put on hold

  • delete—accept all documents and put in a delete pending state in the number of seconds specified in the parameter Over quota save time

  • reject—do not allow the document to be spooled

Print over quota

accept

Determines how documents are handled at print time when the user or department is over quota. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)

Select one of the following values:

  • accept—print the document

  • hold—put the document on hold

  • delete—put the document in a delete pending state in the number of seconds specified in the parameter Over quota save time

  • reject—delete the document immediately

Spool status display

over

Determines when to display quota messages as documents are being spooled via the command line with llp. The choices are always, over, never or default. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)  

Allotment period

monthly

The frequency of quota allotments. The choices are daily, weekly, monthly or default. (Applies to: User, Department)

Allow rollover

yes

Determines whether or not to carry over unused quota points when new allotments are calculated.  (Applies to: User, Department)

Over quota save time

10800

The number of seconds to retain a document in the delete pending state when a document is spooled/printed over quota. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)

User allotment

1000

The number of quota points allocated to a user initially and at the beginning of each subsequent allotment period. (Applies to: User)

Department allotment

5000

The number of quota points allocated to a department initially and at the beginning of each subsequent allotment period. (Applies to: Department)

Points per page

The number of points to charge for each page that is printed on this destination. (Applies to: Destination)

Notification percent

0

The percentage of quota usage required before spooling messages are displayed and email notifications are sent.

NOTE: This is only applicable when the effective value of Spool status display is always. (Applies to: User, Department)

Email notification

Determines the circumstances under which the user will be sent email notifications. The choices are never, over, daily,event, or default. (Applies to: User, Department, Destination)
