Track must run on the EasySpooler server. This server becomes the Track host. After you purchase the Track module and enter the license key on the Track host, you can activate Track. The Track administrator can configure Track, as well as chart and export Track data. You can also set up a user who can view Track information. See Security: Roles and Capabilities for more information.
Before you start using Track, you must make some decisions and do some setup. To get started with Track, complete the items in the following checklist:
Purchase the Track module from ROC Software and obtain a license key.
Enter the Track license key on the Track host (the EasySpooler server), following the directions provided by ROC Software with the license key.
Decide whether quota checking should be enabled.
Decide whether statistics gathering should be enabled.
Decide which destinations, users, and departments should be monitored by Track.
Decide whether the EasySpooler administrator or another person will be the Track administrator.
NOTE: The EasySpooler administrator has the TrackAdmin capability by default. If you want another user to be the Track administrator, add the TrackAdmin capability for that user through the EasySpooler security system. See Security: Roles and Capabilities for more information. Track appears on the main menu in the Web UI when the Track administrator logs in.
