You can view a document on the Document List from the Active Documents or Inactive Documents list if you have permission to view it and its file type is supported. For more information on document permissions, see Override Document Permissions. Viewing a PCL document requires a PCL viewer program, such as SwiftView®. For more information and installation instructions on SwiftView, see PCL Viewer in Chapter 10 of the ROC EasySpooler Administrator's Guide.
To view a document:
Click Documents in the main menu and select either Active documents or Inactive documents from the menu options.
Find the document you want to look at, click on it and select View contents from the pop-menu options.
NOTE: If you do not have a viewer that supports a document's file type, the View contents option is not available..
NOTE: The SwiftView PCL viewer runs on Microsoft Windows only. If you are using either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, a plug-in will be installed that will allow you to view the PCL files in the browser. If you are using another browser, such as Google Chrome, you will be prompted to download the file when you select the View contents option. After the download is completed, locate the file in your Downloads folder. Right click on the file and select SwiftView as the program to open the file.
You can use the Web-based PCL viewer, SwiftView, to view not only PCL documents, but also ASCII and undefined documents. To use SwiftView to view ASCII and undefined documents, you must set the following parameters to Yes on the Web Application Configuration window:
ASCII in PCL viewer
Undefined in PCL viewer
No is the default setting.
NOTE: If the SwiftView license file is not in the directory /install_dir/web/webapp, you will not be able to set the PCL viewer parameters.
To change settings of the PCL viewing parameters:
Click Config on the main menu and select Web application from the menu options. The Web Application Settings page opens.
Change the settings of the PCL viewer parameters.
Click OK.
Before you can view a PostScript document, you must do the following:

To configure the Web application for PostScript viewing:
Click Config on the main menu and select Web application from the menu options. The Web Application Settings page opens.
Select Yes in the View postscript field.
Click OK.
