Refer to the table below for a brief description of each option and sub-option available from the Destinations menu:

 

Destination Menu Options

Info Type

Definition

Destination list

Displays a list of available destinations. From the Destinations list window you can detach/disable and attach/enable destinations and other basic management tasks associated with destinations. See  Destination List for more information on working with destinations.

Destination map

Displays a graphic icon for each destination configured. From the Destination Map you can detach/disable and attach/enable destinations and other basic management tasks associated with destinations. See Destination Map for more information

Aliases

Opens the Aliases window that allows you to assign an alternate name to a destination. Aliases provide a way to allow command line parameters to be used when a document is spooled to the destination alias. See Aliases for more information on assigning aliases.

Add a destination

Opens a drop-down list that allows you to select what type of destination to add. Select the destination type you want to add and the Add Destination page opens. See Add a Destination for more information.

Select one of the following destination types or options:

  • Local

  • Direct TCP/IP

  • lpr/lpd

  • Internet IPP

  • Model Script

  • Destination Pool - If you select Destination pool, the Add Destination Pool window opens. You can add a printer pool and include destinations in the new printer pool. See Add a Printer Pool.

  • Telnet

  • Remote

  • Windows Attached - This legacy destination type is no longer available and will only be seen in a legacy configuration.

  • Network DADI - This destination type is no longer available and will only be seen in a legacy configuration.

  • Network DAFI - This destination type is no longer available and will only be seen in a legacy configuration.

Pool Report

If you have configured printer pools, a pool report that identifies the destination pools and their members is displayed. See Display Pool Report.

Printer Discovery

EasySpooler allows you to discover network printers and them in bulk or individually.

NOTE: You must have SysAdmin capability to use the Printer Discover option.
